Your first board meeting: what to expect in the first 5 minutes
The first time you open Hello Alice, you land in the Boardroom — your home screen. Instead of a blank page, your board gives you one clear recommended next step, a quick daily check-in with Alice, a short tap-to-open list of your other priorities, and a plain read on your business health.
If you're brand new, a short guided setup captures the basics about your business first, so your board has something to work from. If you're already a Hello Alice owner, that context is already in place from your very first message.
The best way to start is simply to ask. Open Ask Your Board — you'll see a greeting, "Welcome back. What's on your mind today?", and a box to ask your board anything. There are no menus to learn and no right way to phrase it. Type a real question in plain words, the same way you'd ask a trusted advisor — for example, "Can I afford to hire someone?", "Why did sales dip last month?", or "How do I get more customers without spending more?"
The right advisor leads the answer automatically, or you can choose who to hear from. Because your board already has your business context, the first answer is specific to you. Your recent conversations are saved down the side, so you can always pick up where you left off — and your board will remind you to double-check big decisions before you act on them.
